Thankful Thursday
This week mostly comprised of work, it's my second full week back into the workforce. I guess I can say in advance, I'm thankful for my first paycheck which I'll get a week and half from now! I already can't wait.
This weekend was nice. Thankful for a nice walk around Lake Baldwin in Winter Park, Florida. It really is the little things in life. The weather was absolutely splendid on Saturday and we went in the late afternoon, the tones and hues of the sky were soft and magnificent. It both felt and looked like a gorgeous fall day. The homes around Lake Baldwin are beautiful, they are new, but appear historic, we wandered off the trail around the lake and into one of the neighborhoods and admired the architecture and landscaping of the different homes. I don't remember what we were talking about, but for some reason we have some of our best conversations walking around and in nature. I was fully immersed in conversation with my husband and in love with him. We also took some cute pictures of him with Abby.
On Sunday, I went back to church for the list time in a long, long while. It was so serene and refreshing. I was a little nervous about being welcomed back, but everyone was so nice and glad to see me. I look forward to growing more in the church and progressing in my faith. I really, truly, love church. I've been trying to read a set of scriptures a day, usually at work, which is a nice moment of peace during the day. I have some favorite scriptures I'll be sharing tomorrow for Friday Favorites, but I'll share one in this post as well. This scripture was mentioned in Relief Society during a lesson about Provident Living and it really spoke to me. For one, because it reminds me of our home and, two, because it describes the kind of home I want to continue creating with my husband.
I'm also thankful for a kind coworker who said I was funny :) I don't know why, but it really touched me. I don't try to be funny, but if I'm able to make someone laugh by just being me, then that's fine.
On the mail front, I'm grateful for some really nice postcards this week!
Both of these are from Russia. I especially love the angel one. I love angels :) I like Monet too, but angels are kinda my thing ;)
From France...
